At last I am getting this blog properly underway - God Bless all who post on her!
After several abortive ideas and suggestions as to the nature of the expression of emerging church that would form the subject matter for this blog, I have settled on what I have called, for want of a better description, 'Table Church' . During the past few months a group of new Christians has been created in our fellowship and it is my intention to undertake this experiment with them. The group consists of about five families who will meet together on a fortnightly basis around a meal table to share faith and think missionally. How exactly this will work and what impact it will have are yet to be determined, but we are prepared to set forth on the voyage.
I have been researching other expressions of 'Table Church' for sometime now and so I will begin to record that information here so that it will be a part of the background to the activity. I also hope that the other members of the group will feel free to comment and post on this blog so that a true record can be obtained of our life around the table.
